  Minecraft: Secret of the Mine…

  Previously in Minecraft: the hunger games incident: I was scared I started to scream as loud as I could and after a while I calmed down and finally got the nerve to ask my unknown captor what is going on, and then he answered in a loud booming voice; “YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A DREAM????” THINK AGAIN!!!! The landscape around me started changing rapidly and started looking blocky, almost like Minecraft. Wait- minecraft, hey maybe I wasn’t dreaming, the world changed before my eyes, and my last breath was in the blocky land staring at his blank white eyes.

  Herobrine took something out of his pocket, sweet dreams Pyro Creeper… I muffled a scream before the world faded to black. When I awoke I was in a bag being carried somewhere, I heard minecraft footsteps. Darn, I thought I finally made it out of this place! I thought to myself, I tried to kick and thrash my way out, but unfortunately it was hopeless.

  I took a deep breath and tried not to freak out, but who wouldn’t I started to break down crying. After all I had gone through, the friends I had lost everything I thought I had loved taken away only to be taken away myself. I was drowning in self pity and after a few hours of crying whoever was carrying me gave a heave and tossed me and I landed in a hard crunch on the ground. I started rolling down a rocky bluff the ground dropping off at some points each with a painful hard crunch. At one of the drop-offs I nearly bled to death when the bag hit a sharp rock barely missing my head. The bag ripped a stumbled into the bright light and tumbled the change of the dark bag and the bright sunlight combine with the trauma of being hit too much was more than I could handle. My vision blurred everything was out of focus and I saw Herobrines face everywhere. The sky became black and the rocky mass that I had mistaken as a bluff started to grow. Gigantic feet rose out of the ground. The land I was standing shaking violently and a gigantic behemoth came from the rocky mass.

  "Welcome, it bellowed with rage. To my lair. The ferocity of the beast finally got to me when I realized who it was. The giant before me was no one but Herobrine himself! I trembled in fear. My fight or flight reflexes kicked in and I had one thing in mind, Run!

  I took off and ran, but as I ran the floor started to crumble under my feet and it became a game of TNT run, but with a beast. Then the most unexpected thing happened, the nearby mountains became monsters as well. Creeper giants, spider, silverfish you name it there was a giant for it. Then lo and behold I almost wet my self as I saw the most terrifying of them all a wither giant. I was running and before I could get anywhere the weather would blow up the ground and I would change directions. I was now stuck on the remaining two blocks, when time itself slowed down. I was confused, why is everything so slow, and I remembered in science class learning about strange phenomena like this. I tried to make the best but I figured jumping would kill me, and the wither was charging its head, about to launch it when an arrow blew by at regular speed. I ducked and turned just in time to see the gigantic whether tumble out of the sky to its death. I was still at risk, because the other beasts were there but for a second, I could swear that I saw a tear go down Herobrines face. But who knows, maybe he has human emotions. I remember in ancient lore class hearing about how Herobrine and the wither were big business partners, at one point they were almost friends. But after the Great War notch and Herobrine became sworn enemies. Notch always tried to forget him, and that is why in updates Herobrine always is removed. He can’t stay away…

  Two years later

  After the wither died the monsters all went back to their caves. The world started becoming more and more lifelike. I tried to forget those horrible events. Yet whenever I try to sleep, I can’t I get nightmares of him. Grabbing me and taking me away and I try to get back to reality but I can’t. Every time I try and escape and yet he grabs me and tells me its not over. I will return, and when I do you will have nothing left at all.

  That was how it was, and until last night I was relatively O.K but I still was terrified. Last night it all changed. When I went to sleep I was at the bottom of the ocean and realized I could die in this dream. I started to choke. I struggled to make way to the surface and that’s when I saw him staring down at me with his blank expressionless eyes. He grabbed me and said, I return tomorrow be ready. He lifted me out of the water and sent a wave of lightning bolts killing all of the squids in the water.

  The last thing I remember about the dream was how when Herobrine walked away the ground below him was dying, no not dying, infected that was it infected, he had some curse or something on the land that he touched. The eagerness of it was daunting but I had bigger things on my mind, how am I supposed to fight a boss that can’t die? I looked up Herobrine lore and found some interesting info; like that he was notch’s dead brother and has been haunting him since minecraft came out. Notch has been trying to remove him but he keeps coming back. After searching on some lesser-known sites I found some weird stuff. Apparently there was a digital war between notch and Jeb against Herobrine, some sibling rivalry or something, it ended with the creation of the nether and the death of Herobrine, in his dying moments Herobrine put a curse on anyone who plays and wins at minecraft hunger games. I never really understood why the youtubers seemed so detached when playing minecraft, look closely and you will find it, the fear when they play a minecraft survival and hear the creepy music what is it? What does it mean why is it that we shudder when we see an abandoned mineshaft? Herobrine, that’s why. Before we had the minecraft, as we know it today, there was a npc called the miner, no one knows why they were removed. During my research I was about to give up when a pop up appeared on my screen.   “Hello” The persons voice was disguised so I couldn’t identify him.

  “Hey its Pyro, I was wondering, do you know anything of the miner? ” I said.

  “The miner was a character added in preindev made by Herobrine in the early 2000’s in minecraft’s most early stages it was removed because of his death, notch must have some lingering hope in him if he were to keep the mineshafts back in game”. He replied.

  I was really happy about the news I found a weakness in Herobrine, “thanks”, I said.

  “No prob-” he said but was cut off and started screaming.

  “I’m coming” be ready. Herobrine bellowed. I looked around violently for where I could go I went into the computer and into the unknown.

  I ran to the nearest tree and after getting the necessary tools I went mining.

  I looked around it was devoid of all human or miner life, despite my best efforts it was useless, but suddenly I had an idea. I pressed my ear against the cold hard stone and heard a dripping water was nearby. With heightened enthusiasm I mined the remaining stone to find the underground miner village.

  I found my way into one of their houses and asked for information on Herobrine, and
whether or not he has any weaknesses.

  “Info for emerald”.

  I was confused at this thinking why would they need emeralds they are miners they have all of the emeralds in the world!

  I reluctantly gave up my last emerald, and desperately begged for info on Herobrine.

  "Herobrine is our malevolent curator he made us in the game but he also gave us a curse, while we are miners that is all we crave mining is our passion, to not mine is to not live. Yet the ore we crave the most emerald, we are cursed never to mine it. We are unable to, and yet he gives us and area of emeralds to look at not even touch, for if we do he unleashes his vengeance on all of minecraft.

  "I want to stop him, if I do I will reprogram you so you are more common and so you can mine and do whatever players do. I said rallying the miners in battle was pretty tough though many of them despite the hardships befallen on them by herobrine still respected him. "He may be tough but he still created us so maybe we should help him out
